Modify Tenant Hostnames

Service Providers can customize tenant hostnames and decide whether to continue supporting the current tenant hostname. To perform this task, you need a role that allows you to modify entitlements. Follow these steps to change a tenant's hostname:

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Service Provider > Tenants. The Tenants List page opens.
  2. Click > Supported Hostnames. The Supported Hostnames dialog box opens.
  3. Enter a custom subdomain in the Enter New Subdomain field.
Note: After entering a custom subdomain, review the complete hostname in the Preview New Hostname area at the bottom of the dialog box.
  4. (Optional) Select the additional hostname under the Select the other hostname to continue supporting area.
Note: Tenants can choose one additional, previously used hostname apart from the newly created one. After selection, preview the complete hostname in the Other Supported Hostname area at the bottom of the dialog box.
  5. (Optional) Click Do not support additional hostname under the Select the other hostname to continue supporting area if you do not want an additional hostname.
  6. Click Next.
Note: After modifying a hostname, ensure that the any references to the original hostname, like configured applications or bookmarked URLs, are updated to reflect the new one.
  7. Enter the company name in the Company Name field.
  8. Click Save.

Note: When tenant's hostname is changed, their usage report cannot be generated until the tenant is loaded once in the browser.
