Service Providers

The Service Provider portal allows administrators on a Service Provider Tenant account to manage the accounts registered under them. For example, this portal allows resellers to manage accounts they issue. This includes unlocking accounts or viewing account metrics for billing purposes.

To access the Service Provider portal, a user must be assigned a Service Provider Role. A user with a Super Account Manager role can assign Service Provider roles to users. Refer to Manage Service Provider Roles for more information.

Attention: Changes made to Instant ID as a Service accounts from the Service Provider portal are permanent. Do not perform an action on another account without proper planning and authorization.

Language Support

Instant ID as a Service supports only English language.

Service Provider Account Types

There are four account levels:

  • Entrust: Entrust is the top-level Service Provider account. The Entrust Service Provider can perform high-level operations on any direct child tenant. Entrust top-Level Service Provider accounts are managed by Entrust.
  • Partner Service Provider: Partner Service Provider tenants are created by the Entrust top-level Service Provider account. They have the full functionality of Instant ID as a Service and can create and manage tenants. They can create Service Provider tenants as well as promote existing tenants to Service Provider tenants. Service Provider tenants created by Partner Service Provider accounts are Standard Service Provider accounts.
  • Standard Service Provider: Standard Service Provider tenant accounts have the full functionality of Instant ID as a Service and can create and manage Standard Tenants. They cannot create or promote tenants to Standard Service Provider tenant accounts. When a Standard tenant is promoted to a Standard Service Provider tenant account, the administrator is assigned a Service Provider role.
  • Standard Tenants:  Standard tenants have the full functionality of Instant ID as a Service. They are not able to create or manage tenant accounts. One user of a Standard Tenant Account is assigned the Super Administrator role. The Super Administrator of a Standard tenant account can contact Entrust and request to have their account promoted to a Service Provider account.

Logging Out

You are logged out of Instant ID as a Service when your session lifetime expires, you explicitly log out, or your web browser session ends (typically when you close the browser).

Note: On MacOS, quit the browser to terminate the session.
