Configure Print Count

The Print Count field displays the number of times a credential has been printed. The value is automatically incremented each time a credential is printed.

The Print Count field is read-only during enrollment and cannot be edited by the operator.

Configure the Print Count Field​

  1. Open an enrollment design in the Enrollment Designer.
  2. Select the step where the Print Count field is added.
  3. Click the Print Count field. The field’s Properties pane displays.
  4. Configure the following properties as required:
    • Name: Enter a name for the Print Count field.
    • Length: Specify the maximum number of characters allowed for the print count value.
    • Minimum Starting Value: Specify the initial value from which the print count starts. By default, this value is 0. The first print increments the value to 1. You can set a higher starting value (for example, 100), in which case the next printed value will be 101.
  5. Link the Print Count field to a database field. The Print Count field must be mapped to a database column to store and retrieve values correctly.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes or Close to exit without saving.
  • The print count value is incremented when a print job is submitted.
  • If multiple copies of a credential are printed in a single print action, the Print Count value reflects all copies printed.
